Northill Aims Private Wealth

Our Approach

We understand your aims. Then we build a plan around them.

Wealth planning that begins with listening, not assumptions.

Who We Serve

First-generation wealth creators facing their next chapter.

We work primarily with families who have accumulated $3–20 million in liquid net worth and are within a few years of retirement, or recently retired. These are people who:

  • Built what they have through work, not inheritance
  • Are practical about money and skeptical of complexity
  • Value relationships over status
  • Want wealth to help their family, not complicate things
  • Could manage their finances themselves — but would rather not

What We Do

Our role is to understand your aims and help you build a plan that serves them.

Comprehensive stewardship across every dimension of your financial life.

  • Investment Management Portfolios designed for your situation, not a template. Institutional-quality strategy with personal attention to what your wealth needs to accomplish.
  • Tax Coordination Proactive planning integrated with your CPA to minimize taxes, avoid surprises, and ensure every decision accounts for the full picture.
  • Estate & Legacy Planning We help you articulate your philosophy about money and structure your estate so your values outlive you — not just your assets.
  • Family Guidance Facilitated conversations that create clarity across generations about expectations, values, and the meaning behind what you’ve built.
  • Life Transitions Thoughtful support through the decisions that come with business sales, career endings, and other pivotal moments.
The Aims Conversation

Each year, we begin by asking: what matters most to you, right now?

The answer shapes everything we do. It might sound like:

  • Our daughter is thinking about selling her business and we want to help her think it through.
  • We need clarity for our sons about what they can expect from us.
  • We want to give more thoughtfully to causes we care about.
  • I want to stop worrying about money and actually enjoy this phase of life.

We listen, take notes, and organize our work around what you’ve told us. Throughout the year, every conversation comes back to those aims.

Aims 1
Limited 1
Limited by Design

Fewer than 100 families. Not because we can’t grow — because we refuse to dilute what makes us different.

Keeping our practice intentionally small means each family receives more of our time, our thinking, and our care. This limit allows us to:

  • Know each family’s situation personally — not from notes
  • Provide five substantive meetings every year
  • Be available when you have a question, without a queue
  • Remember the context of conversations from years ago
Council 1
Planning Council

Before we begin, we make sure we belong together.

Before we begin working together, we invite you to participate in what we call Planning Council — a series of conversations where we:

  • Learn about your situation and what you’re trying to accomplish
  • Share our perspective on the questions you’re facing
  • Determine together whether there’s a good fit

This is our way of making sure both parties are clear about expectations before we begin. We work with one family at a time through this process.
