Northill Aims Private Wealth

Our Team

Remember where you started. Know where you are going.

The people behind the practice — and the story of how we got here.

House
Northill

Remember where you came from.

In 2003, our family faced a decision that felt impossible. We were expecting our fourth child, and everyone told us we needed a bigger house. But we had just made another decision — to leave a large firm and start serving families the way we knew they deserved to be served. We couldn’t do both.

So we chose to bet on ourselves and moved into a 1,200-square-foot home on Northill Street in Richardson, Texas.

That decision — to forego what looked successful in favor of what was meaningful — is the same choice every family we serve has made dozens of times in their lives. They’ve built wealth not by chasing status, but by making hard decisions that prioritized long-term flourishing over fleeting comfort.

The name reminds us where we came from.

Compass
Aims

Know where you are going.

We use the word “aims” instead of “goals” because aims are about direction, not just destination. Your aims might include:

  • Who you want to become in this next phase of life
  • The kind of family relationships you hope to build
  • How you want your wealth to serve the people you love
  • What you want your legacy to say about what you valued

“Aims” gives us a way to talk about what matters most, without reducing everything to numbers and timelines.

Our Perspective

We are sharpened by one another.

We’ve built a team with genuine diversity of personality and approach — not by design, but because good people attract good people. When you’re working through a complex decision, it helps to hear from someone who thinks about problems differently than you do.

You’ll find someone here who understands where you come from, who complements the way you process decisions, and who can provide the right kind of support at the right time.

  • When you need someone to listen We have someone for that.
  • When you need something done We have someone for that.
  • When you need a standard to aim for We have someone for that.
  • When you need a big idea We have someone for that, too.

The People

The team you work with. The team that works for you.

Team Wes

Wes Pingelton

CFP® · CFA®

Wes has spent nearly twenty-five years working with families at pivotal moments — business sales, career endings, the transition from building wealth to stewarding it. He holds both the CFP® and CFA® designations, a combination that gives him unusual range across financial planning and investment strategy. What clients notice first, though, isn't the credentials. It's that he listens before he speaks — and remembers what you said six months later.
Team Kimberly

Kimberly Vesely

CFP®

Kimberly is the person who makes sure nothing slips through the cracks. Since joining in 2016, she has become the operational heart of the firm — the first voice clients hear, the one who manages account details with precision, and the reason every meeting feels prepared rather than improvised. A University of North Texas graduate in Financial Services, she brings both technical fluency and genuine warmth to every interaction.
Team Kerri

Kerri Hicken

CFP®

Kerri brings an economist's mind and an advisor's heart to every client relationship. She began her career at one of the country's largest advisory firms, where she built deep expertise in financial planning before choosing the kind of practice where she could actually know her clients. A Wellesley College graduate in Economics, Kerri is the person on our team who asks the question everyone else overlooked — and does it with enough care that you're glad she asked.
Team Nikki

Nikki O'Riley

Client Experience

Nikki is the reason clients feel at home the moment they walk in. She has an instinct for what people need before they've finished asking, and a tireless commitment to making sure no one falls through the cracks — ever. If the rest of the team are the architects of a family's financial plan, Nikki is the one who makes sure the whole thing feels like it was built with people in mind.
